Submission guidelines

The Global IoT Summit (GIOTS) is an international conference established to attract and present cutting-edge research results on the Internet of Things.

Paper Submissions and Publications

The Global Internet of Things Summit (GIoTS 2021) solicits submission of full papers describing original research. Submitted papers must not be currently under review in any other conference or journal and has not been previously published. Submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of 10 printed pages standard LNCS format including figures, without incurring additional page charges (maximum 2 additional pages, with over-length page fee).

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and the Springer-Link Digitial Library. They will also be indexed by leading Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases like Scopus, DBLP, ISI, Google Scholar, etc.
Papers of particular merit will be recommended for a possible special issue in an international journal. There will also be best papers awards.

  • All submitted papers must conform to the LNCS Formatting Guidelines. Authors are invited to use either the LNCS’s Latex template or MS Word Template available via this Link:

  • Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process and all submissions must be done through EDAS online submission system: https://edas.info/NXXXX (TBA).
  • GIoTS conference series takes the protection of intellectual property seriously. Accordingly, all submissions will be screened for plagiarism using a plagiarism tool. By submitting your work, you agree to allow Springer to screen your work.

Important Dates for Paper Submissions

  • Manuscripts Due: April 20, 2021
  • Acceptance Notification: June 20, 2021
  • Camera-Ready Submission: July 05, 2021
  • Conference Date: August 31-September 03, 2021

Special Session and Workshop Proposal Submissions
GIoTS 2021 will be hosting a series of special sessions and workshops and invites the submission of special session and workshop proposals. They should emphasize on current topics relevant to the IoT community on the latest research, engineering, standards and business issues and should include a mix of regular and invited presentations. Special Sessions should complement the regular program with new and emerging topics of interest.

Each Special Session/Workshop must include the following and should be maximum five pages:

  • Title
  • Length of the workshop (half/full day)
  • Names, contacts and a short bio (200 words) of the workshop organizers
  • Brief description of the workshop including abstract, scope and timeliness.
  • Planned format of the workshop including no. of referred papers, hot topic sessions, keynotes, and panel discussions.
  • Potential participants including TPC members and invited speakers.
  • Brief description of advertising plan
  • Prior history the workshop (if any)
  • Draft call for papers
  • Any other relevant information

Accepted Special Sessions and workshops must implement Springer academic best practices regarding peer reviews and paper publication. Accepted and presented paper will be included in the conference proceedings, and the Springer Digital Library (pending approval).
The proposal must be submitted through EDAS system at https://edas.info/NXXXX (TBA) using the option for “Special Sessions or Workshop Proposal”.

  • Notification of selection: March 31, 2021
  • Website for special session/Workshop: April 10, 2021
  • Deadline for paper submission: June 1, 2021
  • Acceptance/rejection notification: July 15, 2021
  • Camera ready submission: July 31, 2021
