There are several transportation options available at Dublin Airport. Travel time from the airport to Croke Park is about 20 minutes via taxi.
Aircoach
Croke park – take Route 700 from Zone 11 at Terminal 1 to the first stop Drumcondra Rail. Croke park is about 7 minutes’ walk (550m) from the stop. Route 700 operates every 15 minutes.
Taxis
Upon arrival to Dublin Airport, several official airport taxi services can be found directly outside the arrivals hall. The average current price from Dublin Airport to Croke Park is approximately €20 – €25.
There are many official taxi services throughout Dublin. Please ensure you only travel in a registered taxi displaying their taxi license on the dashboard. Taxis are readily available all over the city with listed services in most tourism areas.
On Foot:

By Train:
The closest railway station is Drumcondra at the intersection of Drumcondra Road (N1) and Clonliffe Road, a 5 minute walk from the stadium. The closest DART stations are Connolly and Clontarf. Connolly is a 15-20 minute walk and Clontarf a 20-25 minute walk to the stadium. The closest LUAS & Intercity Rail stop is also at Connolly Station.
By Luas:
Croke Park is a 16 minutes (1.3km) walk from Connolly Red Line Luas stop. The stadium is also just 15 minutes (1km) walk from both Parnell and Marlborough Green Line Luas stops.
By Bus:
Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus offers a high-frequency, accessible and easy to use service from all over Dublin. A number of services bring you quite close to Croke Park and many others will get you to the city centre from where the stadium is a 15 minute walk.

By Bike:
Croke Park is just a cycle from the City Centre. The nearest Dublin Bike stations are located on North Circular Road and Mountjoy Square.

Irish Rail /DART
Irish Rail operates services that travel from Heuston and Connolly stations to cities/towns throughout Ireland. DART is a rail service that operates through Dublin, traveling on the east coast and servicing the coastal towns north and south of Dublin. Visit the Irish Rail website for more information.
Luas
Luas is the Dublin light rail service that operates two tram lines, the Red line and the Green line: The Red Line (East to West) and the Green Line (North to South). The Red Line is 20 km in length and has 32 Stops. It runs from Tallaght to The Point and from Saggart to Connolly. The Green Line is 16.5 km in length and has 22 Stops. Bicycles
Dublin is one of many European cities that offer a bike sharing scheme for its many visitors and residents. You will see throughout the city centre the dbs or Dublin bikes parked throughout the capital. For information on how to hire visit Dublin Bikes These are a fun way to explore Dublin.
Car Hire
Available at Dublin Airport you can select to self-drive while in Ireland. Two of the major companies are Hertz Car Hire or Avis Car Hire

All Conference attendees are advised to arrange private travel insurance. The Conference organisers and committee accept no liability for personal accidents or damage to property while in attendance at the IoT 2022. The Organising Committee of IoT Week 2022 reserves the right to amend and alter the conference programme, events, format and medium without prior notice and accepts no liability as a result of such actions.

The Euro (€) is the currency in use in Ireland.
Visa and Master Card are all widely accepted in pubs, shops and restaurants throughout the country.

Shopping
General opening hours are Monday-Saturday from 09.00-18.00 with later opening hours on Thursday evenings. Most major stores/shops open on Sunday – some with reduced opening times from 10.30 to 18.00.
Smoking
Ireland has introduced a ban on smoking. Smoking is prohibited in public areas within Ireland including all bars, nightclubs and restaurants. If required you should enquire whether your accommodation bedroom is a smoking or non-smoking room. All rooms are assumed non-smoking unless requested.
Please use the smoking areas designated outside venues also and you should take note of any signage.
Tipping
Tipping is a generally accepted practice in restaurants, bars, taxis and hotel porters. A service charge may be included in some restaurants and should be stated on the menu, but otherwise this is a discretionary item.
Telecommunications/ Cell Phones
For international delegates, only digital phones with GSM subscriptions and a roaming agreement will work on the island of Ireland. Visitors should consult with their supplier before departure.
Networks widely available are Three, Vodafone and Eir.
Passports – Visitors are advised to check what form of ID is required with the individual airline, tour operator or travel agent before travelling. In general, a valid passport is recommended ID for all visitors travelling to Ireland.
Visas – Visitors from other countries do require a passport, and it is wise to check with your travel operator whether your originating country requires a visa. Please discuss this with your travel agent and review the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland website for full information.
If you require a visa, you may request a letter of booking confirmation from the Congress desk once payment is completed in full for registration. No letter will be issued prior to registration and full payment being completed. It is advisable that you book and pay for accommodation, for the duration of your stay, as part of the registration process. If you book accommodation as part of your registration, this will be confirmed in your confirmation letter from the Congress secretariat. If you have booked accommodation separately you should request confirmation of this from your hotel and include it with your visa application.
Note that visa applications can take 8+ weeks for Ireland – please ensure that you apply in time to attend the Congress. You can apply for a visa using the online AVATS process.
Before beginning the online process you should have the following information to hand:
1. Passport and details of any previous passports – number, date of issue/expiry
2. Details of any previous Irish visa applications
3. Contact details for your host in Ireland
4. Itinerary
Following submission of your online visa application using AVATS, please note that you will also be required to submit a signed summary of your application form, original passport, passport-sized colour photograph, the relevant fee and all supporting documents, to the relevant Irish Embassy/Consulate/Visa Office per your application procedures.
